CrossFit

Coach Michael Duff

I found CrossFit while watching a repeat of the CrossFit games on ESPN. At this time I was overweight and in poor health; I said to my wife, "this looks fun". I started CrossFit at a facility about 30 minutes away and quickly realized how out of shape I was in, but I had so much fun doing it. With commitment I started getting better at the workouts;  and then one day I realized that everybody was trying to catch me in the workouts. Since starting my CrossFit journey I have lost over 40lbs, came off all of my medicines, have more energy and I am happier with my life in general.

I am the owner of CrossFit Culpeper and a Certified CrossFit Trainer/Level 2 (CF-L2), and a Certified CrossFit Weightlifing coach. I have been coaching privately for almost 2 years in Culpeper and have lived in Culpeper for almost 14 years. My family and I are actively involved in Culpeper Soccer Association, Relay For Life and many other activities within our community.

CrossFit has changed my life and I look forward to helping you reach your personal fitness goals whatever they may be.

Coach Douglas Esposito

Coach Doug found CrossFit while on active duty in the Marine Corps.  He has coached UFC fighters, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champions, elite military units, and first responders, but finds he gets the most enjoyment working with regular folks trying to prepare themselves for the challenges life throws our way.  Fighting off old age, staying as young as you can for your children and grandchildren, and living a healthy lifestyle are some the goals he has been able to help people achieve.  He hopes to help you improve your health, nutrition, and quality of life...and if you discover some exciting new challenges along the way then so be it.

Coach Doug is a Certified CrossFit Trainer/Level 3 (CF-L3), USA Weightlifting Coach, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, and has been coaching CrossFitters, fighters, military members, competitive athletes, and people just like you for the last 30+ years.  He is the owner and founder of Vanguard Gym/CrossFit Manassas and can't wait to work with the members at Culpeper and be part of this community.

Gymnastics

Kelsey began participating in cheerleading and tumbling classes at the age of five. She cheered from kindergarten through high school and all four years of college. During college she worked for National Cheerleading Association and coached gymnastics and tumbling classes for students aged three through 12 at Virginia Techniques located in Christiansburg, VA.

Kelsey discovered CrossFit after experiencing limited results at a nearby chain gym.  At CFC, she has regained her love of gymnastics and is looking forward to helping our Culpeper youth learn gymnastics.
